text-align: justify;font-family:georgia;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;O realismo e o naturalismo toleravam-no, dentro da forma teatral, como excepção: era estático, anti-teatral, inverosímil.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p  style="font-weight: bold; text-align: justify;font-family:georgia;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;Nos clássicos gregos e em Shakespeare, no entanto, a presença do solilóquio é exemplar. Como pensar peças como Medeia, Rei Édipo, Hamlet, Lear, sem a reflexão solipsista dos seus protagonistas?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="font-weight: bold; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt; "&gt;António Pinho Vargas, Custódia Gallego, Cándido Pazó, Ana Bustorff e Denise Stoklos são os artistas convidados pela Reitoria da Universidade de Coimbra e pel'A Escola da Noite no âmbito do ciclo “do monólogo, coisa pública”, integrado no programa da XII edição da Semana Cultural da Universidade, que vai decorrer entre 1 e 6 de Março.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:times new roman;"&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;O programa completo da iniciativa foi apresentado esta manhã em Coimbra, numa conferência de imprensa em que intervieram o Reitor da Universidade, Seabra Santos, o Pró-Reitor para a Cultura, José António Bandeirinha, e o director artístico d'A Escola da Noite, António Augusto Barros.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:times new roman;"&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Convidada para conceber e produzir a parte externa à Universidade da programação da Semana Cultural (que, na sua globalidade, inclui mais de 70 iniciativas promovidas pela própria comunidade académica), A Escola da Noite propôs o ciclo “do monólogo, coisa pública”.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:times new roman;"&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;António Augusto Barros salienta a tríade em que propositadamente assenta esta proposta: criação, formação e reflexão. Partindo do tema definido para a Semana Cultural - “Causa pública: o público e o mediático”, A Escola da Noite construiu um programa assente no monólogo, enquanto género teatral que conquistou a sua autonomia na escrita dramática contemporânea. “Um homem ou uma mulher em cena podem ser um mundo em si próprios, acompanhando a pluralização do eu que o século passado promoveu como nenhum outro, falam com as suas vozes, os seus outros eus; e falam com o mundo, são ícones do mundo, resistindo à incomunicação que medra nas cidades”, escreve António Augusto Barros. Daí a idéia do monólogo como “coisa pública”, como forma particular da abordagem das artes cénicas ao contexto em que vivemos. “Estamos todos a falar sozinhos, nas ruas, nos asilos, nas prisões, nos hospitais. Como poderia o teatro, talvez a mais política das artes, a mais atenta e dependente da polis, resistir a falar de tudo isto?”, pergunta António Augusto Barros.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:times new roman;"&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;O ciclo inclui seis espectáculos, que preencherão as noites, de segunda a sábado, da Semana Cultural: “Solo I e II”, concerto de António Pinho Vargas que assinala o regresso do compositor a Coimbra, onde há vários anos não se apresentava; “Vulcão”, a peça que Abel Neves escreveu para a actriz Custódia Gallego, numa co-produção entre o Teatro Nacional D. Maria II e o Teatro do Bolhão; “Historias Tricolores: ou de como aqueles animaliños proclamaron a República”, uma viagem pela história recente de Espanha através das memórias dos personagens incarnados por Cándido Pazó; “Concerto à la Carte”, um exigentíssimo trabalho da actriz Ana Bustorff perante o texto (uma longa didascália) do dramaturgo alemão Franz Xaver Kroetz; e por fim, Denise Stoklos. O público de Coimbra terá finalmente oportunidade de assistir ao vivo ao trabalho de uma das mais consagradas actrizes brasileiras, com uma impressionante e premiada carreira internacional. Como pensar peças como Medeia, Rei Édipo, Hamlet, Lear, sem a reflexão solipsista dos seus protagonistas?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;p style="text-align: justify;"&gt;A escrita contemporânea, em especial a escrita da segunda metade do século XX, caracteriza-se pela “destruição da dramaturgia dialógica”. Não se trata de uma substituição nem de uma menorização da palavra, mas de um outro entendimento da escrita, menos auto-suficiente e mais consciente da sua parte na organização cénica. O discurso cénico reorganiza-se de forma rapsódica, valoriza-se a colagem, o fragmento, a pulsão poética. Beckett, Heiner Müller, Handke, Kroetz, Gregory Motton e um sem número de dramaturgos escreveram, escrevem para um acto criativo que quer estabelecer um novo protocolo com o espectador entregando-lhe uma parte maior do que a mera decifração de um enredo, entregando-lhe dúvidas, perplexidades, partes ocas, buracos negros para que complete a sua leitura de uma forma crítica, criativa.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;p style="text-align: justify;"&gt;O monólogo, o solo, para além de meras razões económicas (que também as há), autonomizou-se mesmo da obra, deixou de ser parte para passar a ser um género próprio, uma forma autónoma cada vez mais cultivada.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;p style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Um homem ou uma mulher em cena podem ser um mundo em si próprios, acompanhando a pluralização do eu que o século passado promoveu como nenhum outro, falam com as suas outras vozes, os seus outros eus; e falam com o mundo, são ícones do mundo, resistindo à incomunicação que medra nas cidades, à insatisfação, à mutilação do desejo, ao abandono dos velhos, dos marginais, das crianças, dos desempregados, dos esfomeados. Contestação do sistema social em que vivemos, onde os valores dependem sempre da utilidade prática ou de rendimentos concretos.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:'times new roman',-webkit-fantasy;font-size:100%;" class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;Do íntimo da personagem solitária, vemos o íntimo colectivo, subconsciente, da natureza humana que se reveste de momentos grandiosos e de momentos simples, mas todos igualmente vitais.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:'times new roman',-webkit-fantasy;font-size:100%;" class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;Assistimos a uma personagem acossada por lembranças, aspirações e escolhas, que expõe a nossa própria vulnerabilidade. É por isso que, aos nossos olhos, ela se torna dramática, terminal e fatal, sem que realmente o seja.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:'times new roman',-webkit-fantasy;font-size:100%;" class="Apple-style-span"  &gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;Com os seus desejos e angústias, a personagem relaciona-se com o tempo  (ora fisicamente, ora transcendendo-o), criando prioridades não convencionais.  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;p  style="text-align: justify;font-family:times new roman;" class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;Um regresso a Coimbra que ocorre numa altura em que, para além de estar a terminar o doutoramento em Coimbra, António Pinho Vargas é investigador do Centro de Estudos Sociais da Universidade de Coimbra e professor de Música Portuguesa na Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify; font-family: times new roman;"&gt;  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;p  style="text-align: justify;font-family:times new roman;" class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;“O projecto de gravar um disco a solo com grande parte das músicas compostas para os meus grupos de jazz de 1976 a meados dos anos 90 já era antigo. O David Ferreira insistia comigo há vários anos mas por várias razões só em Dezembro de 2007 as gravações no CCB tiveram lugar. Surgiu então um outro problema. Quando pensava que ia gravar um disco, registei, por excesso de entusiasmo, três horas de música. A solução encontrada acabou por ser a edição de dois cds duplos: “Solo” em Julho de 2008 e “Solo II” em Outubro de 2009. Este segundo cd completa o projecto inicial.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify; font-family: times new roman;"&gt;  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;p  style="text-align: justify;font-family:times new roman;" class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;Neste concerto, irei talvez concentrar-me mais nas músicas do II volume mas sem perder de vista que a ideia era, e sempre foi, registar num todo, um testemunho de cerca de 30 anos de actividade musical.
